Federated Road Hazard Program Federated AWD Road Hazard Program

What is Covered by the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Nationwide Road Hazard Plan?

Valid for two years from the purchase date or until any portion of the tire is worn to 2/32" or less, whichever occurs first.

Tire Replacement

If a tire becomes unserviceable because of a road hazard during the useable tread life of a tire, it will be replaced with a new tire. If available, an exact make/model replacement tire will be installed. If not available, a comparable quality tire will be installed. If the tire failure occurs within the first 12 months from the date of the Plan purchase, and cannot be safely repaired per manufacturer's guidelines, the tire will be replaced with coverage up to 100% of the original retail price for the tire. If the tire failure occurs within the second 12 months from the date of the Plan purchase, and cannot be safely repaired per manufacturer's guidelines, the tire will be replaced with coverage up to 50% of the original retail price for the tire.

Replacing Additional Tires on AWD Vehicles Only

This Plan provides for the replacement of existing tires that are not damaged, where a difference in tread depth occurs between the non-damaged tires and the damaged tire to be replaced. If the tread depth difference between the damaged tire and any remaining tire is 4/32" or greater, each qualifying non-damaged tire may be replaced under the same terms and conditions, listed above under Tire Replacement, as the damaged tire. This Plan provides for replacement of eligible tires with the qualifying difference in tread depth only.
